ALCA supports the retention of the existing list of excluded offsets projects given their critical role in safeguarding biodiversity, local communities, employment, and water availability, and helping to prevent perverse outcomes in the carbon market.
It is ALCA’s view that the Government should always err on the side of a precautionary approach in considering any changes that may further diminish or undermine Australian biodiversity outcomes.
