ALCA CEO Nerida Bradley and leaders of many ALCA member organisations have joined a huge group of signatories encouraging State and Federal governments to create jobs by investing in environmental land management stimulus.
More than 80 organisations representing farming, conservation and the broader land management sector have written to Governments across Australia highlighting substantial nation-wide job creation opportunities that could be achieved while also combating immense land management challenges like weed control, bushfire recovery, land restoration and feral pest eradication.
Thank you to all who have submitted EOIs to be part of ALCA’s national conference PLC2020.
We have been inspired by the positive input, range of topics and diversity of people wanting to be part of the program especially considering the incredible demands of bushfire response and long term recovery.
Unfortunately, amid current uncertainty and potential impacts on planning and travel, ALCA is postponing its next PLC conference until early 2021.
We are working to confirm revised conference dates and we will update you as soon as they are available.
The portal to submit expressions of interest remains open.
ALCA & Trust for Nature Victoria presented a two-day forum on 8 and 9 November in Melbourne for professionals from the conservation, agriculture, banking, investment, government and insurance sectors wanting to scale up conservation finance and find innovative ways to combine conservation with sustainable land
management. Thank you to all participants especially our expert facilitators and presenters.
