This Roadmap was developed by ClimateWorks Australia with contributions of input and feedback by their Stakeholder Reference Group and other key contributors including ALCA.
ClimateWorks Australia is an expert, independent adviser, committed to helping Australia, South East Asia and the Pacific region transition to net zero emissions by 2050.
The Roadmap focuses on embedding the concept of natural capital, and specifically the measurement and valuation of environmental ‘assets’ as an important (but insufficient) enabler of increasing sustainable land use. The Roadmap outlines nine action areas for improving the measurement and valuation of natural capital in Australia. For each of these, it identifies next steps and key actors. This is intended to guide and encourage implementation of these actions, and provide a framework against which activity and gaps in activity can be tracked and coordination improved.
